I've both read and heard on repeat that breastfeeding is natural. While that is true in some aspects, that doesn't mean that it is easy.
Instinctual? Most of the time. Natural and easy? Not always.
Setting out to do the best for their babies from the moment they are born, many parents decide that breastfeeding is the only option for them. And to those who decide otherwise, I nod to you in love for finding what works best for you and your family too and offer my greatest support your way as well. The information out there when it comes to breast, chest and bottle feeding can be overwhelming, to say the least! In preparation for babies arrival, we read, survey friends and buy every last breastfeeding gadget there is. But in all of this, do we really gain an accurate perception of how it might be before our little one is actually placed to the breast for the very first time? Are we holding a firm grasp on the mechanics of this miraculous milk making ability?
As a Registered Nurse, Mother and Friend, I can tell you that there is a way to start this feeding journey that can lessen feelings of overwhelm and angst and build you up to begin with confidence.
It starts with a solid foundation.
I'd love to lay the groundwork with you as we explore the many aspects of breastfeeding and how to format an empowered and individualized approach. Whether you are pregnant currently, a new parent or in your postpartum chapter, there is a place for you and I welcome you to learn more about preparing, establishing and navigating this together.
"I am so glad you came into our lives and gave me the confidence that we could do it. As soon as we met, I knew it was all going to be okay. You are a ray of light and I am so thankful. "
